NBCDFW : declared in Basketball Players Learn Lessons En Route to Championship

Students from several Fort Worth ISD middle schools formed a basketball team under the leadership of Johnnie Cole. The AAU basketball team for 14 and 15 year olds is called Coleblooded in tribute to Coach Cole. Not only did they make it, they won first place in 8th grade National AAU Classic Championship. The players' goal was to get the AAU National Championship games at ESPN World of sports in Orlando, Florida, July 5 through 9. The team consists of players from Fort Worth ISD schools like Meadowbrook, Handley, McClung, Stripling and Jacquet.
