GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- A basketball player herself, Nicolette Simpson was overjoyed when new and returning Michigan State University basketball players visited her hospital room on July 18. Bottomless Toy Chest brings toys to kids at DeVos Children's Hospital "I never thought I'd meet them in my life," Simpson said after she gave the players a high five. The 13-year-old Spartan fan has been in and out of Helen DeVos Children's Hospital for about four months for the treatment of various auto immune diseases. The players were interacting with patients and their families the same time as the hospital's "Christmas in July" event was taking place.
