A brave eleven-year-old inspires Stanford's basketball playersJust before the Stanford men's basketball team played Oregon a few weeks ago, the players were given a pep talk by the day's honorary captain. The inspirational & efficient speech was delivered by eleven-year-old Ty Whisler of Tahoe City (Placer province ), who has been Combating brain Cancer disease for almosta year & a half. During which time, Tom Orlich, helper to head coach Jerod Haase, contacted the infirmary to see if any patient wanted to hang by the players. In January 2017, Stanford players Dorian Pickens, Robert Cartwright & Christian Sanders visited Ty for the premier time at the infirmary. "The chance of it recurring & spreading are (greatest) in the premier 2 years," Jill Whisler said.
